Táhirih Arjumandí Síyávushí

Táhirih Arjumandí Síyávushí (1953 - June 18, 1983) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Síyávushí was born into a Bahá’í family in Tehran in 1953. She married Jamshíd Síyávushí in 1972 and they pioneered to the village Chinar, near Tehran, the same year.[1] They returned to Tehran in 1974 where she completed nursing school and they then pioneered to Yasuj in Fars Province in 1976 where she worked as a nurse at the towns hospital.[2]
In 1978 Síyávushí was dismissed from her job due to being a Bahá’í, and the family home was raided, so the Síyávushí's moved to Shiraz that year where she was able to secure employment at a private hospital. Her husband was arrested on October 26, 1982, and she was arrested on November 29, 1982. Her husband was executed by hanging on June 16, 1983, and she was executed on June 18 alongside nine fellow Bahá’í women.[1]
