Short Selections from the Bahá’í Writings

Short selections from the Bahá'í Writings is an A6-sized volume intended to make it easy to put the Word of God directly into the hands of people. It should give the reader some idea of the range of subjects covered in the Bahá'í Writings, from spiritual to practical subjects, from personal spiritual development to how the world should be run. Published in 2018. There are 48 pages, and the quotations are divided in 26 sections. There is a contents page, to enable the reader to see the contents of the book at a glance. Each section is contained in exactly one page or a double page. Most of the quotations are either from Bahá’u’lláh or from Abdu'l-Baha, but a few are from either Shoghi Effendi or from the Universal House of Justice, where these sources clarify a point more succinctly than lengthy quotations from Scripture.
Although intended as a booklet for the enquirer or the new Bahá'í, it soon became obvious that this is an additional resource for someone hosting a Feast or other Bahá'í meeting, and is suitable as a bedside companion, for reading the Writings morning and evening.
