Rodrigo Tomás is a Costa Rican Bahá’í who served as a Continental Counselor for the Americas.
Background[edit]
Tomás was serving as an Auxiliary Board member as of 1967 and in April that year he visited Nicaragua with Artemus Lamb and consulted with the Bahá’í community at their National Convention.[1]
In January 1972 Tomás visited Guatemala to attend a conference of the Continental Board of Counselors for South America,[2] and in December 1973 he helped facilitate an International Youth Conference held in Costa Rica.[3] In 1983 he attended the National Convention of Nicaragua as Board member again,[4] and spoke at an International Day of Peace program representing the Faith on the program.[5]
In 1985 the Universal House of Justice appointed Tomas to the Continental Board of Counselors for the Americas and he served as Counselor until 2010 with his service including serving as the Trustee of the Continental Fund for the Americas from 2005 to 2010.[6][7]
