From Bahaipedia
Jump to:navigation, search

This workshop and compilation of Baha'i Writings is offered as a tool for educators who wish to put Bahá’í principles into practice in their classrooms. It is organized around 12 common educational themes:

  • The Purpose and Goals of Education
  • The Curriculum
  • Religious and Moral Education
  • When to Begin a Child’s Education
  • The Teacher
  • The Learning Environment and Discipline
  • Nature and Capacity of the Learner
  • Educating According to Need and Capacity
  • Instructional Methods and Materials
  • Excellence
  • Education for Service
  • Educational Reform

Detailed, step-by-step instructions for conducting a workshop on the compilation, and copy-ready student handouts are included. The workshop complements Ruhi Book 3 training and is appropriate for Baha'is and friends of the Faith. It has been presented twice to packed sessions at the International Social and Economic Development Conference in Orlando, Florida.
