History[edit]

The Regional Spiritual Assembly of Southeast Asia was elected by twenty-five delegates at the first Convention for Southeast Asia held in Djakarta, Indonesia, in 1957. The Assembly was responsible for administrating the Bahá’í communities of Singapore & Malaya, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Cambodia, and representatives from each of these countries spoke at the inaugural Convention.[1]

In 1964 the Assembly was succeeded by three Assemblies which administrated smaller portions of the region it had been responsible for.
