The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Morocco is the body responsible for administrating the Bahá’í community of Morocco.
History[edit]
In 1964 the National Spiritual Assembly of North West Africa was made responsible for administrating the Bahá’í Faith in Morocco,[1] and the seat of the Assembly was moved to Rabat in 1967.[2]
As of 1982 there was a National Spiritual Assembly of Morocco based in Rabat, superseding the North West Africa Assembly, however it is not clear when the change took place.[3] All Bahá’í meetings were made illegal by the Moroccan government in 1983 resulting in the Assembly disbanding.[4]
Conditions in the country relaxed over time and as of 2023 Morocco had re-established its National Assembly sending delegates to the Thirteenth International Convention.[5]
