Mulla Hasan Pishnamaz Tafrishi was an early Persian Bahá’í from the Tafrish region.

Background[edit]

Pishnamaz was from the Tafrish region and lived in Tarkhuran where he served as prayer leader and Imam-Jum‘ih of the towns Mosque. He became a Bábí in the 1850's being introduced to the religion by Mulla ‘Abdu’l-Ghani who was likely the first Bábí to live in the Tafrish area.[1]

After converting Pishnamaz was forced to flee Tarkhuran and he moved to Tehran with his son Mirza Muhammad ‘Ali Khan Mustawfi Tafrishi.[2]
