Muhsin Radaví

Muhsin Radaví (July 7, 1926 - March 4, 1984) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Radaví was born into a Bahá’í family in Serishabad, Kurdistan Province, in 1926. He was raised in the village of Qorveh, near Hamadan, where he completed elementary school. He later moved to Tehran where he married in 1956 and pursued several potential careers before becoming a civil servant.[1]
In 1964 he pioneered to Uzgoul, a village near Tehran, and assisted in the establishment of its Local Spiritual Assembly in 1966 then returned to Tehran. He pioneered again to Sarasiyab in 1972 and later to Afsariyyeh serving on both towns Local Spiritual Assemblies. In 1979 he pioneered to Tehran-Pars.[1]
On May 5, 1983, Radaví was arrested in his home and taken to Evin prison for thirteen days before being transferred to Gohardasht prison where he was held in solitary confinement for four and a half months. He was then transferred back to Evin prison. He was tortured during his time in prison and on March 13, 1984, his niece was informed that he had been executed by hanging on March 4, 1984, and his body was not returned to his family for burial.[1]
