Muhammad-Husayn Ma‘súmí

Muhammad-Husayn Ma‘súmí (October 25, 1917 - November 23, 1980) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Ma‘súmí was born into a Bahá’í family in Iran in 1917. In his career he became a farmer establishing a farm in the village of Nuk in southern Khurasan. He married Shikkar-Nisá’ and they had children with their family being the only Bahá’ís in Nuk.[1]
On November 23, 1980, a group of masked men broke into Ma‘súmí's home. He was in the properties barn at the time and the he was attacked with a pickaxe being struck in the head several times and he was then thrown into a nearby ditch with his remains being set on fire. His wife was also martyred during the home invasion.[1]
