Manúchihr Ma‘ání
Manúchihr Ma‘ání Entessari (September 1927 - 3 February 1962) was a Persian Bahá’í who responded to Shoghi Effendi's call for pioneers during the Ten Year Crusade. Manúchihr reached Seychelles in 1954 with the ultimate goal of opening the Chagos Archipelago. Being unable to secure a work visa to enter Chagos Manúchihr remained in Seychelles and opened the island of Praslin to the Faith. Seychelles elected its first Local Spiritual Assembly at Riḍván 1955 and Manúchihr remained a pioneer there until mid-1959. Afterwards he pioneered to Kenya and there married Baharieh Rouhani Ma‘ani. In January 1962 he fell ill of pancreatitis, which was not discovered in time to save his life. Manúchihr passed away on Saturday, 3 February 1962 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Manúchihr was born in ‘Ishqábád to Kalímu’lláh and Humáyún Khánum Ma‘ání. He and grew up in Tihran and studied law after graduating high school.
