Jamshed Meghnot was a Bahá’í who lived in South America and assisted with early administrative development of the religion on the continent and in Colombia but was later named a Covenant-breaker.

He was an active member of the Bahá’í community of South America and was elected to the National Spiritual Assembly of Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela in 1959.[1] He was elected to the inaugural National Spiritual Assembly of Colombia in 1961 and served for a year,[2] however as of March 1963 he had left South America and he was declared a Covenant-breaker for making repeated attacks on the institutions of the Faith.[3]
