Hidáyatu’lláh Siyávushí

Hidáyatu’lláh Siyávushí (June 5, 1952 - January 1, 1983) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Siyávushí was born into a Bahá’í family in Yazd in 1952. He completed his primary schooling in Yazd then his family moved to Shiraz where he completed High School. He was an active member of the Shiraz Bahá’í community, serving as an assistant to the Auxiliary Board, and in 1981 he was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly after several Assembly members were imprisoned.[1]
On August 13, 1981, Siyávushí was arrested. He was tortured while being imprisoned and executed by hanging on January 1, 1983. He was buried by his family in accordance with Bahá’í law with many people attending his funeral.[1]
