Frederick Graham (August 8, 1913 - July 21, 1975)[1] was a Canadian Bahá’í who served as a National Spiritual Assembly and Auxiliary Board member.
Background[edit]
Graham was born in Rose Valley on Prince Edward Island in 1913. His father's work involved a large amount of travel and Graham accompanied him being raised in various towns across Canada and the eastern United States. In his own professional career Graham worked in business and came to manage a restaurant train, established a business in Hamilton, Ontario, and worked in the automotive field.[2]
In 1949 Graham was introduced to the Bahá’í Faith by a former piano teacher and he declared in 1951.[2] He was elected to the National Spiritual Assembly of Canada in 1957,[3] and served until 1963 when he was appointed to the Auxiliary Board for the Americas and assigned to Canada succeeding Rowland Estall who retired to continue to serve on the National Assembly.[4]
Graham suffered a heart attack at some point and retired from his business career in order to continue serving as Board member. He served as Board member up until his passing due to another heart attack in his summer home in Ontario in 1975.[5]
