Ernest Ndouba was the first Chadian Bahá’í. He served on the National Spiritual Assembly of Chad and as an Auxiliary Board member.

Background[edit]

Ndouba was from the Sara ethnic group. He became a Bahá’í in Ndjamena, Chad, in 1968.[1] In 1971 the National Spiritual Assembly of Chad was established and he was elected to the body as its Assistant Secretary.[2]

In 1972 Ndouba was appointed as an Auxiliary Board member for Propagation,[3] and that year he represented the Continental Board of Counsellors at the Second National Convention of Chad conducting a delegate training institute in the two days prior to the Convention and assisting the officers and delegates in undertaking the election of the National Assembly and Convention consultation.[4]
