Eileen Maddocks
Eileen Maddocks is a Bahá’í author who has written several books on the Faith.
Biography[edit]
Maddocks was born into a Christian family being raised learning about liberal Protestantism. Her mothers parents were members of the Advent Christian Church which was connected to the Millerite tradition. Maddocks attended various Christian churches but was unsatisfied and began studying New Age concepts.[1]
In 1989 Maddocks discovered the Bahá’í Faith and joined the religion and she went on to serve at the Bahá’í World Centre in the Holy Land for several years as a researcher and writer. After completing her term of service she settled in Vermont where she began researching the life of William Miller and the significance of the year 1844. In retirement she also took up ballet performing from 2015 to 2018 and continuing to participate in ballet classes to the present.[1]
