Continental Board for Western Asia

(Redirected from Continental Board of Western Asia)

The Continental Board of Counsellors for Western Asia was a body responsible for protection and propagation of the Bahá'í Faith in Western Asia, and for appointing members to Auxiliary Boards across Western Asia. Its membership was appointed by the Universal House of Justice.
History[edit]
The Continental Board of Western Asia was formed along with ten other Boards in 1968. They were established by the Universal House of Justice so that the functions that the Hands of the Cause performed could continue to be carried out despite the Bahá'í community being unable to appoint additional Hands. In 1980 it was merged with the other Continental Boards in Asia to form the Continental Board for Asia.
