Today's featured picture This is a conceptual drawing of the continental House of Worship for South America in Santiago, Chile. In late 2002, the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Chile and the Universal House of Justice announced a competition for the design of the mother temple of South America, to be built outside Santiago. The winning design featured sides composed of translucent panels of alabaster and cast glass, and an interior lattice structure of steel supporting the inside of the upper dome.
