Arturo Serrano is a Mexican Bahá’í who served as a Continental Counselor for the Americas.
Background[edit]
As of 1976 Serrano was serving as an Auxiliary Board member for Mexico and in April that year he assisted in a border teaching project organized by the National Spiritual Assemblies of the United States and Mexico.[1] In June 1976 he assisted in consolidation teaching sessions in Agua Prieta, Mexico.[2]
In 1985 the Universal House of Justice appointed Serrano as a Continental Counselor for the Americas,[3] and in August 1986 he attended the Bahá’í International Peace Conference in San Francisco as Counselor.[4] In 1988 he inaugurated the Shiraz National Bahá’í Institute in El Tejar, Guatemala,[5] and attended an International Bahá’í Youth Conference at Indiana University in the United States.[6]
Serrano was appointed for additional terms as Counselor in 1990,[7] 1995,[8] and 2000 completing his service as Counselor in 2005.[9]
