Academia is a term which refers to the pursuit of research, education, and scholarship in a formalized environment at an academy such as a university.

Some Bahá’í inspired universities and associations for Bahá’í studies have been established and the Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity was established by the Universal House of Justice to engage in research on issues relevant to the life of humanity and learn about the methods, approaches and instruments that can best be employed by individuals and institutions to further the growing conversation worldwide on the advancement of civilization.[1][2]
