From Bahaipedia
Hájí Mírzá Siyyid Áqá Mírzá ‘Alí was a member of the Afnán family. His daughter Khadíjih Bagum married the Báb.
Background[edit]
‘Alí was a son of Mírzá ‘Abid, known as Mírzá Zaynu'l-'Abidín. He worked as a wholesale merchant importing and exporting in Shiraz and Bushihr. His wife was named Hájíyyih Bíbí and their children were Afnán-i-Kabír, Hájí Mírzá Abú'l-Qásim, Khadíjih Bagum, and Zahrá Bagum.[1]
He lived in the Bazaar Murgh quarter of Shiraz and in 1819 the Báb was born in his house.[2] The house was next to the house of Khál A’zam, who raised the Báb from 1828, and ‘Alí's children associated with the Báb during their childhood. When Khadíjih Bagum was betrothed to the Báb a wedding feast was held in ‘Alí's home.[3]
