Yadu’lláh Sábiríyán

Yadu’lláh Sábiríyán (1920 - April 4, 1984) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Sábiríyán was born into a Muslim family in Semnan in 1920. His father became a Bahá’í at some point and Sábiríyán also declared in 1935. He began working at a printing company in his youth and in 1951 he established his own printing press, the Badi Printing House, which he managed for three decades. In 1960 he moved to Narmak and he was elected to its Local Spiritual Assembly in 1961.[1]
On February 3, 1982, Sábiríyán was arrested while at work and taken to Qasr prison. On May 4, 1983, he was transferred to Evin prison where he was kept in solitary confinement. he was transferred several additional times to different prisons before being executed by firing squad alongside two fellow Bahá’ís on April 4, 1984. His body was not returned to his family for burial.[1]
