Yadu’lláh Mahmúdnizhád

Yadu’lláh Mahmúdnizhád (1930 - March 12, 1983) was a Persian Bahá’í who served as a pioneer in Yemen during the Ten Year Crusade and was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Mahmúdnizhád was born into a Muslim family in the Azerbaijan Province of Iran in 1930. He became a Bahá’í in his youth then pioneered to Yemen. He married Farkhundih while in Qatar in 1958 and they had two daughters.[1]
In 1969 the Yemen Government expelled foreigners and the family returned to Iran settling in Isfahan and later moving to Kirmanshah and Tabriz. In 1974 the family settled in Shiraz.[2]
On October 23, 1982, Mahmúdnizhád and his daughter Mona were arrested. He was tortured severely while imprisoned and executed by hanging on March 12, 1983 with his daughter also being executed three months later.[1]
