Yúsif Subhání

Yúsif Subhání (1916 - June 27, 1980) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Subhání was born into a Bahá’í family in Tehran in 1916. In his youth he began working for the local council of Tehran and after marrying he became the construction accountant of a hotel. He later became the director of the Zamzam Company, a soft drink manufacturing factory in Tehran owned by a Bahá’í.[1]
On March 4, 1978, Subhání was arrested at the offices of the Zamzam company and briefly held at Komiteh prison then transferred to Qasr prison. After four months he was transferred to Evin prison where he was executed on June 27, 1980. He was buried at the Bahá’í cemetery of Tehran.[1]
