Writings of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
From Bahaipedia
The Writings of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá are authoritative guidance for Bahá’ís. The works of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá listed on bahai.org are as follows:
- Memorials of the Faithful
- Paris Talks
- The Promulgation of Universal Peace
- The Secret of Divine Civilization
- Selections from the Writings of ‘Abdu’l‑Bahá
- Some Answered Questions
- Tablet to Dr. Auguste Forel
- Tablets of the Divine Plan
- Tablets to The Hague
- A Traveler’s Narrative
- Twelve table talks given by ‘Abdu’l‑Bahá in ‘Akká
- Will and Testament of ‘Abdu’l‑Bahá
Many early publications prior to the Ministry of the Guardian are Pilgrims' Notes, which hold no authority. Many published transcripts of talks given by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá in the West were conveyed by a translator and some have not been authenticated with Persian transcripts. Shoghi Effendi did allow compilations of talks to be used, but unauthenticated talks can not be regarded as scripture, and the Universal House of Justice has stated that the distinction will have to be made in the future.[1]
Current editions of the Writings of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá are available at the Official Bahá'í Reference Library.
