Writing on the Ground was a book published in 1968, dedicated to the person of 'Abdu'l-Bahá and to His teachings. It was written by Major Wellesley Tudor Pole, and was originally published by Neville Spearman. Neville Spearman was a specialist publisher, producing works by occult writers and those interested in the paranormal. As such, this enabled Major Tudor Pole's work to reach sections of the public not normally reached by Bahá'í literature.
