A Weekend School is a local deepening event held over usually two days, and to which all the Bahá'ís within a given radius are invited. Typically, the weekend is devoted to a certain theme, such as Progressive revelation, the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh or the travels of Abdu'l-Baha. Speakers are invited to give talks, or lead study sessions. There may be a bookstall organised, and refreshments are usually provided. Activities or classes for children are a further ingredient in a well-run school.
