The Passing of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

From Bahaipedia
Jump to:navigation, search

The Passing of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá is a letter by Lady Blomfield and Shoghi Effendi which compiles a large amount of information relating to the Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. It was published in England in 1922 and Shoghi Effendi had a copy sent to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Tehran to be translated into Persian and distributed.

It quotes firsthand accounts from Bahá'ís who were in the Holy Land at the time, newspaper reports, telegrams sent by officials, and extracts from the Will and Testament of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá which were compiled by Lady Blomfield and Shoghi Effendi. It also includes two prayers revealed by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, one of which is the Tablet of Visitation.
