The Institution of the Counsellors

The Institution of the Counsellors.

The Institution of the Counsellors is a document issued by the Universal House of Justice in 2001 which outlines and explains the purpose and functions of the Continental Boards of Counsellors.

Background[edit]

The document was prepared shortly after the International Teaching Center moved its offices to the newly completed Seat of the International Teaching Center. It was prepared to describe the operations of the Continental Counsellors and Auxiliary Board members and the Administrative Order in general.[1]

The document consists of two sections with the first providing an overview of the Institution and its duties and the second being a list of statements each addressing specific aspects of its functions.[1]
