Tarázu’lláh Khuzayn

Tarázu’lláh Khuzayn (1927 - June 14, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who served on the Local Spiritual Assembly of Hamadán. He was martyred following the 1979 Revolution in Iran.

Biography[edit]

Khuzayn was born into a Bahá’í family in Kashan in 1927. He pioneered to Hamadán in 1950 and was elected to the cities Local Spiritual Assembly during the 1950's serving on the bodies for over two decades. He was briefly imprisoned several times while serving on the Assembly.[1]

On August 12, 1980, Khuzayn was arrested and tortured before being executed by firing squad on June 14, 1981, alongside six fellow Assembly members.[1]
