The Lawh-i-Hikmat, usually translated as the Tablet of Wisdom, was written for Mullá Muhammad-'Ali. This is the tablet in which Bahá'u'lláh mentions some of the philosophers of the ancient Mediterranean world. Bahá'u'lláh indicates that at different times, different parts of the world act as beacons of guidance, and that Greece was at one time such an area.
Clearly, Mullá Muhammad-'Ali had asked Bahá'u'lláh about ancient philosophers, and the Blessed Beauty makes a few remarks about each of the more prominent ones. He stresses their belief in God, especially at a time of general polytheism.
The Tablet of Wisdom appears in the volume Tablets of Bahá’u’lláh , which was produced by the Bahá'í World Centre in 1978.
