Túbá Zá’irpúr

Túbá Zá’irpúr (March 24, 1931 - March 12, 1983) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Zá’irpúr was born in Isfahan in 1931. Her father was the only Bahá’í in her family and passed when she was young however she was raised by an aunt who sent her to Bahá’í children's classes in accordance with her fathers wishes.[1]
In 1945 Zá’irpúr moved to Shiraz to pursue an education and she completed a degree in Persian Literature at Pahlavi University and became a teacher working at several schools in Shiraz under Iran's Ministry of Education.[1]
Zá’irpúr was arrested on October 23, 1981, and tortured severely at the Sepah Detention Centre. She was later transferred to Adilabad prison where she was denied medication despite suffering from an ulcer. She was executed by hanging on March 12, 1983, with her remains not being returned to her family for burial.[1]
