A Study Guide is a document or book which sets out to help others learn, in a systematic way, from a particular text or about a particular text. The precise form of study can vary. There are study guides which consist of potted paragraphs of text, suitable for reading aloud, presumably for subsequent discussion. Others are of the workbook type, where text is followed by specific questions to be answered in writing, on the page. Such items may, or may not, have the actual words study guide in the title. Among the many study guides which exist are:
Study Programmes[edit]
A number of attempts have been made to encourage organised study of, or deepening on, the Faith. These include:
- The Star Study Program
- The Gemstone Study Series
The Ruhi books which are now being used across the world do not style themselves "study guides", but clearly fall within a broad definition of that term. Due to the success of their method(s), and their promotion by the World Centre, they have somewhat supplanted many of the earlier programmes.
