Members of two football teams on Vancouver Island, Canada, join together for prayers before playing.

A sport is a type of game or contest involving some kind of physical challenge and a goal to be achieved.[1] Sports are generally played by more than one player in competition with others, as in the athletic contests which take place during the Olympic Games; team-based athletic competitions such as rowing or relay racing, are played by two or more teams competing against each other, and many team sports involve only two teams competing at a time, such as football (or soccer), baseball, cricket, or hockey.
