Shervin Fallah

Shervin Fallah (1975 - October 29, 1995) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Background[edit]

Fallah was born in Mazandaran in 1975 and lived in Qaemshahr. He enlisted for mandatory military service in the 1990's and in 1995 he went missing in Qom. His family appealed to the authorities to locate him several times however he remained missing for five months.[1]

Fallah's remains were found in a remote area by a hunter and after they were discovered his murderer was quickly identified and arrested, however as Fallah was a Bahá’í the murderer received a light sentence due to Bahá’ís not being recognized as equal to Muslims by courts in Iran. He was buried by his family in the Arak Bahá’í cemetery.[1]
