Ruhullah Rawhani

Ruhullah Rawhani (d. July 21, 1998) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.

Background[edit]

Rawhani was arrested in 1984 due to being a Bahá’í. He was released the following year but exiled to Najafabad for two years and sentenced to pay a one million rial fine before he would be allowed to return home.[1]

In 1994 Rawhani was arrested a second time but released the following day. He was arrested a third time on September 20, 1997, and charged with converting a Muslim to the Faith. He was executed by hanging on July 21, 1998.[1]
