Rockville is a village in the U.S. State of Connecticut located in Tolland County. In 1965 it was administratively consolidated with the town of Vernon.
A Bahá’í community was established in Rockville in the 1930's. A Local Spiritual Assembly of Vernon was established in 1971 which was also responsible for administrating the Faith in Rockville due to the 1965 amalgamation of the two towns.
History[edit]
There were a small amount of Bahá’ís living in Rockville by the late 1930's and in 1939 they established an organized Bahá’í Group.[1] The group remained active into the 1950's.[2]
In 1971 a mass teaching campaign was undertaken in Vernon and Rockville under the guidance of Adrienne Ellis Reeves which resulted in the establishment of the Local Spiritual Assembly of Vernon that year.[3]
