Regional Spiritual Assembly

From Bahaipedia
Jump to:navigation, search

A Regional Spiritual Assembly is an institution identical in function to the National Spiritual Assembly but including a number of countries or regions in jurisdiction, often established as a precursor to the formation of a National Spiritual Assembly in each of the countries it encompasses. In effect, it is a step along the road to the establishment of "Secondary" Houses of Justice in each part of the world. So, for example, the Regional Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Central America would have administrative jurisdiction over all of central America until National Spiritual Assemblies could be set up within each nation or territory.
