Rashid Gulov

Rashid Gulov (1971 - December 16, 2001) was a Tajikistani Bahá’í who was martyred.

Biography[edit]

Gulov was born in Tugarak, Tajikistan, in 1971. He married Parvina Murodova in 1994 and in 1995 he became a Bahá’í. In 1997 he pioneered to Georgia spending a year in the country.[1]

After returning to Tajikistan Gulov served on the Local Spiritual Assembly of Dushanbe, the National Teaching Committee of Tajikistan, and the Tajikistan Training Institute. In December 2001 he was murdered in Dushanbe while returning home from work and the Universal House of Justice designated him a martyr.[1]
