History[edit]
The first Bahá'í activity in Oshawa was likely a teaching trip to the city made by Howard Colby Ives in the early summer of 1940. The Local Spiritual Assembly of Toronto aimed to begin regular teaching trips to the city after Howard's visit.[1]
The Local Spiritual Assembly of Oshawa was established in 1951.[2]
