Biography[edit]
Subhání was born into a Bahá’í family in Shahi in 1932. His family pioneered to Shirvan in 1941 and later pioneered again to Gonbad-e Kavus.[1] Sobhani married and had five children and in 1975 he pioneered to India with his family serving until returning to Iran in 1980.[2]
On May 23, 1984, Subhání was arrested in Tehran and held in Evin prison. His family was denied permission to visit him for six months. His wife was able to meet with him twice in one month before visits were again banned. On March 4, 1985, his wife was allowed to attend an interrogation session and speak with him for a few minutes and he was executed by hanging the next day.[1]
