Ni‘matu’lláh Kátibpúr-Shahídí (1913 - July 26, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Shahídí was born in Bushriyih in Khurasan province. He began working when he was just twelve and held several jobs across Khurasan ultimately becoming an employee of the Bank-e-Melli in Mashhad and settling in the city. He was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Mashhad and also served as a representative of the Umaná Company, the body responsible for managing and maintaing the Bahá’í properties of Iran.[1]
On July 4, 1981, Shahídí was arrested and taken to Kashmar prison where he was executed on July 26 the same year.[1]
