The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Uganda is the national body responsible for administrating the Bahá’í community of Uganda.
History[edit]
The first Bahá’í body to administrate Uganda was the Regional Spiritual Assembly of Uganda and Central Africa, which was formed in 1964.[1] In 1970 a separate National Spiritual Assembly for Central Africa was formed leaving Uganda with an independent National Spiritual Assembly.[2]
The Bahá’í Faith was banned from operating in Uganda in 1977, along with twenty-six Christian organizations.[3] The National Spiritual Assembly of Uganda was re-established in 1981, following the 1979 change in government in Uganda.[4]
