Muhammad ‘Abbásí

Muhammad ‘Abbásí (1937 - July 9, 1982) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
‘Abbásí was born into a Muslim family in Turbat-e-Haydariyyeh in Khorasan Province in 1937. He moved to Mashhad in 1947 where he began working for his brother and in 1953 he moved to Tehran where he began working in a tailor's shop.[1]
In 1959 ‘Abbásí moved to Mashhad and in 1962 he became a Bahá’í while living in the city. He also married then moved to Tehran with his wife in 1963 living there until moving to Qazvin in 1973. He later settled in a small industrial town near Qazvin.[1]
On April 10, 1982, ‘Abbásí was arrested due to being a Bahá’í and he was imprisoned in Qazvin until being executed on July 9, 1982.[1]
