Mihdí Anvarí

Mihdí Anvarí (1921 - March 16, 1981) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Anvarí was born in Taft, Iran, in 1921. He worked in a pharmacy run by his father from 1935 until opening his own pharmacy in 1954. He married in 1956 and moved to Mashhad where his wife attended medical school and they moved to Shiraz after she graduated.[1]
At some point the Anvarí's moved to Abadih where Anvarí was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly and appointed as an assistant to the Auxiliary Board member. He and three fellow members of the Assembly were arrested on August 9, 1980, and impirsoned in Adilabad prison in Shiraz. He was executed alongside one other Assembly member on March 16, 1981.[1]
