Mexico City is the capital city of Mexico.

History[edit]

The first local Mexican Bahá'í to declare was María del Refugio Ochoa of Mexico City who became a Bahá'í in 1937.[1]

The Local Spiritual Assembly of Mexico City was established in 1938,[2] with Sr. Pedro Espinosa de los Monteros being elected Chairman (called President due to the lack of a word for chairman in Spanish), and Senora Marie Luz Guinchard being elected Secretary.[3] It secured two large meeting rooms, a library, a guest room, and a kitchen to use and held a formal opening for the premises on October 27, 1939.[4]
