Mary Perkins

Mary Perkins Gray is a Welsh Bahá'í who has written several books on the Faith, including biographies of the Central Figures and stories for children.

Background[edit]

Perkins was born in Western Wales and she completed a degree in history at the University of Wales in Swansea. She later moved to Africa for eight years spending time in Lesotho and Uganda and she became a Bahá’í while in Uganda.[1] She met Richard Gray, an American astronmer, while in Cameroon and they married ultimately settling in North Carolina.[1]
