Manuel Vera

Manuel Vera was a Peruvian Bahá’í who served on the National Spiritual Assembly of South America.

Vera became a Bahá’í in Lima in the 1940's. He developed a deep knowledge of the Bahá’í teachings and served as a translator for Eve Nicklin, an American pioneer in Peru.[1] In 1951 the National Spiritual Assembly of South America was established and Vera was elected to the body,[2] and in 1952 he represented the Bahá’í Faith as a delegate to the Fifth International Conference of Non-Govermental Organizations.[3]

Vera emigrated to the United States at some point.[1]
