From Bahaipedia

Mír-Asadu’lláh Mukhtárí (February, 1910 - May 18, 1980) was a Persian Bahá’í who was martyred in Iran.
Biography[edit]
Mukhtárí was born into a Bahá’í family in Ghaleh-Kuh, Khurasan province, in 1910. He pioneered to Andarun in 1946 where he established himself as a sheep farmer. He faced severe persecution due to being a Bahá’í and was beaten to the point of requiring hospitilization multiple times.[1]
On May 18, 1980, Mukhtárí did not return home from his farm. His children found his body five kilometres outside of Andarun and a coroner concluded he had been strangled and beaten with wooden sticks. His family was unable to secure permission to bury him in Andarun and he was buried in the Bahá’í cemetery of Birjand.[1]
