Lawḥ-i-Laylatu'l-Quds

From Bahaipedia
Jump to:navigation, search

Lawh-i-Laylatu'l-Quds, provisionally translated as Tablet of the Sacred Night, is a Tablet revealed by Bahá’u’lláh in Adrianople. Shoghi Effendi officially translated sections of the Tablet which were published in Gleanings.

History[edit]

Adib Taherzadeh writes that the Lawh-i-Laylatu'l-Quds was revealed in Adrianople in the honour of Darvish Sidq-'Ali. He notes that additional Tablets which share the same title were revealed in Akka which are not to be confused with this Tablet.

Taherzadeh describes the Tablet as consisting of exhortations for the Bahá’í community to remain united and abolish all division and estrangement.[1]

Official Translation[edit]

  • Partial Translation by Shoghi Effendi published in Gleanings
