Khusraw Muhandisí

Dr. Khusraw Muhandisí (May 25, 1929 - January 4, 1982) was a Persian Bahá’í who served on the Local Spiritual Assembly of Tehran. He was martyred following the 1979 Revolution in Iran.

Muhandisí was born in Kirman in 1929. His mother was a Bahá’í and his father was a Muslim. He completed his schooling at several different primary and high schools in different cities across Iran then completed an honours degree at Tehran University. He moved to America for further studies and completed a PhD in Psychology at the University of Illinois.[1]
After completing his PhD Muhandisí returned to Iran where he settled in Tehran and secured a position as a Professor of Psychology at Tehran University. He was elected to the Local Spiritual Assembly of Tehran in 1978. When the Iranian Revolution began in 1979 he was dismissed from Tehran University and in November, 1981, he was arrested at a Local Spiritual Assembly meeting. He was held in Evin prison until being executed on January 4, 1982.[1]
